In 2012, as more people transitioned to media consumption via smartphones, entertainment and sports telecasts began to migrate more content to the Internet. The Arena app was developed for consumers to watch a favorite sporting event then invite friends and family members to share the experience. To maintain engagement with the event and each other, consumers could offer a family friendly wager to add a level of excitement and interest.
Purpose: To share a viewing experience with a community of sports friends and fans.
