My friend Salli, an amazing illustrator and designer, is keeping warm with socks on which I designed the pattern. She pushed me into an international competition. I won second prize. I prefer to look at it another way – we won!

We saw a felt banner at Renegade Handmade LA. Consideration in favor of buying it was strong then the price appeared. Ouchee! Won’t be in our house. We didn’t go home completely empty-handed. We love independent artists, craftspeople and artisans. We support them when we have the means. The banner was outside our means at that moment. So, I went to a fabric store where felt happened to be on sale. Ten bucks and about 8 hours later, Voila! Crafty banner.
I drew the letter and shape patterns in Illustrator. The felt was thin enough for my scissors but thick enough to remind me to sharpen my scissors (hand cramp).
Merry Christmas everyone!
A stack of cupcakes for a birthday design. I created it including the lettering with a ruling pen on toothy paper. I got an assist from computer magic. I like to share. Mmm, tasty!

This boat was based on artwork from ancient Greek pottery. It was part of a design that included the dolphins from a previous post. It’s completely vector based.
I attended bridal showers as a server for my parents’ catering biz. These bridal showers seemed like happy occasions. I tried to evoke that emotion by having gifts jump for joy. I thought the tone on tone tiles created an appropriate setting for these electric appliances.
I included an updated Get Well design. I simplified the background and increased the scale of the line work.
If you think these designs might fit into your line please don’t hesitate to contact me.
