During my days in San Francisco before AG, before the web, when the Macs overran the design studios, royalty free clip art was available via floppy disk. Can you imagine?! Floppy disks! so revolutionary. I bought a set of clip art, developed these designs, wrote the copy, hired the printer I used as a designer for the SFMart and presented them to a local card shop who bought them on the spot. I don’t remember what prompted me to start the process but I enjoyed. They ended up in the sales rack. I didn’t care because they were in the market.
The copy for the notepads (clockwise from the upper left): “Transmission To You” (space man), “It’s For You, Dear” (woman on phone) “Flash…This Bulletin Just In!” (radio tower) and “Earth Calling You…Come In!” (transmission tower).
