The “Happy Spring” was a spontaneous lettering creation. So I grabbed art from another idea and massaged the lettering in Photoshop. I printed this two color design with my Kelsey.
1st Easter Letterpress card
…another old printing project I found from the early 2000s. For Easter I drew the composition of Mr. Bun, eggs and dotted line. Once the composition became a magnesium plate I printed the art on computer generated stripes then glued handmade paper (the purple “flower field” ) where Mr. Bun’s bounding and disturbing the eggs. Wascally wabbit! BTW I hand set the “Happy Spring.” First and last time I set type. Frustrating experience.
